Merkmale

Verbreitung

Das ursprüngliche Verbreitungsgebiet dieser Art ist auf die zentralen Appalachen, die Ouachita-Berge und das Ozark-Plateau im Osten und im Zentrum der Vereinigten Staaten beschränkt (Huntley 1990).

In Europa eingeschleppt, erstmals 1825 nachgewiesen (Rasplus et al. 2010).

Lebensweise

In Europa ernährt sich diese parthenogenetische Art von Gewöhnlicher Robinie (Robinia pseudoacacia) und Klebriger Robinie (R. viscosa), während sie sich in ihrem ursprünglichen Verbreitungsgebiet in Nordamerika auch von Borstiger Robinie (R. hispida) und Amerikanische Gleditschie (Gleditsia triacanthos) ernährt (Darling und Smith 1985; Liston 2011; Mally et al. 2021).
